Prevention is always better than cure! That’s why many of our patients, and even patients of other practices, visit one of our expert dental hygienists approximately every 3 months.
Using state-of-the art instruments, Malone Dental hygienists ensure that plaque and tartar hidden or located in difficult-to-reach places are removed from your teeth and the bacteria that cause dental caries reduced. In some cases, they can also remove surface stains to give you a fresher, brighter and healthier mouth and more confident smile.
Regular visits to our hygienists will also help prevent periodontal (gum) disease, bleeding gums, tooth decay and halitosis (bad breath.) If you are already have one of these issues, our hygienists will implement a course of treatment with your approval, or recommend referral to a dental surgeon or periodontist (specialist in gum disease.)
During your appointment, our hygienists will assess your oral health and hygiene, scale and polish your teeth and advise on how to maintain a high level of oral hygiene.
